My name is Julia Usakova

​I’m a Latvian digital illustrator based in Worcester, England, currently entering my final year of an illustration degree.

My work explores Russian folktales, everyday life, and travel, combining traditional folk art influences with contemporary digital drawing. Alongside my illustration practice, I’m beginning to develop mural projects and am interested in future editorial and personal commissions.

Outside of my creative work, I love practising yoga, travelling, and spending time innature. I’m drawn to moments of peace and tranquillity, which often influence the way I observe the world and inspire my creative process.

I’m also passionate about upcycling and love the idea of giving new life to overlooked objects and materials. Whether it’s an old object, a forgotten space, or a traditional story, I’m inspired by the possibility of

transforming something familiar into something meaningful and new.
