This illustration is inspired by traditional Russian Khokhloma designs and based on a small sugar bowl I discovered in a charity shop in Malvern, UK. I translated the painted pattern into a digital artwork, focusing on rich colours, decorative motifs, and the connection between everyday objects and cultural heritage.
